Well, this year I’ve managed 123 puzzles which isn’t half bad if you ask me. Christmas proved to be a chance to get stuck into a Wentworth, one I had been saving all year. It was a true joy and a lovely way to spend some time off work. Here’s to 2025!

Feeling nostalgic in November
Puzzle companies love to use images of bygone ages, where things felt simpler, calmer, slower. Jigsaws can feel a bit like that. You can lose an afternoon and everything else just seems to fall away. Perfect, and these puzzles fit the bill.

Mountains of fun in October
I do love sky and these puzzles didn’t disappoint on that front, often with the bonus of a water reflection for good measure. Bright colours and lovely puzzles.

Animals in September
Although I do appreciate that cats and dogs do seem to feature quite a bit! However, lots of colours, lots of details and lots of variety for this month, and of course, a few missing pieces along the way - people really need to bag things better once they’ve finished them…

Village Life for August
It appears that this topic is a favourite for jigsaw brands. I mean, what’s not to like?! Ponds, maypoles, thatched cottages, animals and a whole host of people. The scenes are bright and cheery, with bold colours and a chance for plenty of details. A rather lovely month.

Art and artists for July
Not my favourite theme. I tried to spread out the brighter puzzles over the month, but still felt that most were dull and full of browns and other dull colours. Also, a few missing pieces didn’t help with motivation.
