British Jigsaw Championships 2022

Well, I said I wouldn’t go back until I was under 2 hours and this was the year. I always knew I probably still wasn’t fast enough, but it was exciting to know I would be seeing some familiar faces. I couldn’t believe how big the event had got with 70 entries across the 3 categories. The competition was fierce, and despite a personal best of 1 hour and 50 minutes I came third in the elite category, and actually 4th place on time overall, with a newcomer on the fun category romping to victory with a time of 1 hour 20! Think I’ll watch from afar for another few years, but it was good to be back.

BCD Quarterly Meet

The last time I attended a physical meeting was 2019 so it was soooo good to be back amongst my friends.  The theme was ‘Puzzles which tell a story through humour’, and there were lots to do, and some not even on theme. I spent the day completing a range of wooden ones and these two were my faves. Who knows, perhaps I’ll be converted yet…

Puzzling with friends!

I was recently lucky enough to be invited on a short break with some puzzling friends. Our days were spent exploring the local area, but early mornings and evenings were spent puzzling. The best bit of all was a chance to spend some time with the rather talented cutter Heather and sample some of her puzzles. The Harry Potter puzzle was layered and line cut which added to the fun.
